There is a new instagram challenge in November. It’s about taking good pics and learning more about photography. Every day of the month there’s a different word and you take a pic that represents the word. Here are some resources that Ms. Clark and Mr. Hoeppner gave us that can help us learn about photography.

This week at school…

We had IBL. In IBL we did the respiratory system. The respiratory system is the breathing system if you want to watch our video just keep scrolling down to see it on our blog. I learned that when we breathe we are doing so much things that we don't know we are doing. We don't think about it at all it just happens.

In word work we did a word made out of these elven letters: A E E I D D K R H N T and now guess the eleven letter word okay it’s…I can't tell you. Try to guess! It was so hard to figure out the word at the time then it just came to me ba bam! Can you make any other words out of these letters? Please tell me if you can find any other words. Hint some people got more than 80 words in my class.

Our eduphotoadaymay is awesome but it's coming to an end. Luckily we have eduphotoadayjune. I hope we get eduphotoadayjuly! I signed up for night and flash in June. I like how we get to post pictures and show everyone what we are doing in our school.                     By Sadie

Are you ready for a photo challenge?

We are excited to share that we are planning to participate in a K-12 photography and creative writing project called #eduphotoaday beginning May 1st. The project was started by two teachers in our school division. Here is how it works: For each day during the month of May there is a word or phrase in the photo challenge. We will take an Instagram photo that represents that word or phrase. We hashtag it #eduphotoadaymay and the word or phrase. The next day we will look at all of the Instagrams in the photo challenge from the previous day and use them as writing inspiration.

If you are an Instagram user, follow us @mrstresoorsclass. Our class account is private so you’ll need to request to follow and wait for approval by me before you’ll be able to see our photos. If your Instagram name is something anonymous (i.e. I won’t be able to identify that it’s you) please send me an email letting me know what your Instagram identity is so that I can accept your request. I am only allowing families, classrooms and educators to follow us.

We are excited and ready for May to begin.....even with the snow! Thanks to @200awesomedays and @mrhoeppnersclass for setting up this photo challenge.
