T.W.A.S.

This week at school we had fun let me tell you all about our week. First we had gym. We played soccer baseball.  I didn’t get any strikes. I almost got a homerun if I was first or maybe even second.

Also we had a special assembly done by the grade 1s. I saw Ethan the hug monster and then Cayden the one who thinks of me as his mama. Then I saw Rylan my best little bud. It was cute when the little kids spelled volunteers. One of the kids got in the wrong spot at first but then got in there spot.

For my ep I’m doing the bird eagles. I’m almost ready to present. I have been using Smore. And I  have been helping the kids who are new to smore.

Also we made a flower out of paper. Cayden mostly made it. I let him read to me after. The flowers we made were given to the volunteers after. How I know is I saw one in ms Gregg’s room. I hope you had a good week.

Rainbow Loom Expert Project

There was another Expert project presentation this week! This time it was on Rainbow looms. Leah did this expert project and it was quite interesting because the rainbow loom things are very common. Most people know what they are but they don’t all know much information about them. For example who invented them? It was this guy who was from Malaysia and he made it because his daughters had made these rubber band bracelets on their fingers. Then he made a little prototype of the rainbow loom board with wood and nails. That sparked the idea of the rainbow loom.

The project was very interesting. It was done on PowerPoint. There were lots of pictures which I liked. A suggestion I have is to put in more information and that is one thing that I would recommend changing for next time. Good job Leah!

Handbell Ringers

Today we had a handbell presentation. The presentation was in the music room after lunch. All the grade 5s, 6s and my sister saw it. Why did my sister see it? Because our Grandma was in it! Since my Grandma was in it, I’ve seen them practice before. The performance was about 45 minutes long.

They played about 5 or 6 AWESOME songs. One of the songs was “It’s a Small World”. Mrs. McRorie runs the whole thing! Besides running it, she also sang a song from Cinderella. She was really good. Another guy played a song on guitar that he wrote! He did a very good job.

The handbells that they use are $35,000! That’s VERY expensive! Every bell was made of brass. They also have to keep them in a BIG case. Everybody was wearing gloves because if they don’t the oily stuff in your hands can damage the handle of the bell. They also wore rainbow scarfs from Guatemala. The money went towards buying stoves for people who don’t have one in Guatemala.

The presentation was really neat. I hope they can come back again one time!!!

T.W.A.S.

This week at school we had gym. In gym we played a basketball game. In the morning before school I’m in basketball club. We have to meet at 8:30 am. When I got there we practiced dribbling around the gym. Then we had a basketball game it was fun. Next week we have a tournament.
Today we had rooftop photos. A roof top photo is where the whole school goes out to the front of the school.  The photographer climbs onto the roof and takes a couple of pictures of the school.  Then we went back to class.

In library I took out two books. One was about BMX bikes. The other one was on dirt bikes. On the book about BMX bike a guy was doing flat land BMXING I might try it.in the dirt bike book when they race it looks dangerous!

This week we wrote poetry. In poetry I started to write an acrostic poem on my leopard gecko but I didn’t finish it. I also wrote one about me. After I  shared it with Jerrett. It was a good week.

T.W.A.S.

This week at school we had choir. It was fun. I liked singing. We are singing a song. I don’t know what it is called. I got a sucker for winning music bingo.

We also had read to self. I am reading magazines called Bmx plus. There are pro Bmxers. It is cool. I like the magazines and there are always handle bar grips and a whole bunch of frames for sale.

We had expert projects. It is awesome. I am learning more about quads. I have my own quad. I ride quads a lot. They cost so much money for a new one.

We had gym. We played basketball tag. I like playing regular basketball better because you get to shoot at the hoops. I didn’t join basketball club because I can’t get to school early enough for practices.

Special Olympics Expert Project

Today we had our first expert project presentation by Hailey! It was on Special Olympics. I never realized how many events there were. She had lots of ribbons, Wow! I wonder how many ribbons she will have in a couple years? Hailey did so well speaking she said lots of big words like competition, intellectual and rhythmic gymnastics. Did you know that: Special Olympics is dedicated to enriching the lives of individuals with an intellectual disability through active participation in sport. In total there are eighteen sports in Special Olympics. Hailey participates in hoop, ball, ribbon, and rope. This is the athlete’s oath “Let me win. But if I cannot win, let me be brave in the attempt.” Great job Hailey!
