Science Design Process

This week at school I did science. It was very fun because we got to build and make a marble go down a track. My group’s designs name is The Rolling Cheeseburger. I got to come up with our name. Our project goes down with a lot of speed and then it goes strait and goes into a funnel and does a couple swirls and goes to a controlled stop like our rubric tells us to. Our project has linear and rotational motion. It shows potential and kinetic energy. The force is balanced at the start and then it is unbalanced as the marble goes down the track. We used cardboard, plastic and paper to make the track. All the supplies were recyclable. The rubric also tells us to make it turn and change speed. It was fun to build this design. Ours worked 10 out of 10 times!
